The video is effective in causing the audience to feel emotions, as the main subject of the video is not revealed until the end and thus viewers are left suspended and waiting for what will happen. The backwards editing of the lead singer's actions looks brilliant, yet they have managed to keep the lip syncing in the correct order.

The stop motion is effective, as the video is essentially very simple, but editing makes it very interesting and relates to the lyrics of the song.

Music Video Analysis: BJORK - It's oh so quiet

The action of the video and the tone of the song are matched together, so that when the song is quiet - the action is stagnant and mundane, but when the song becomes upbeat, so does the choreography.

Music Video Analysis: DARWIN DEEZ - DNA

The rhythm of the track and the rhythm of the dance correlates perfectly, and the normality of the setting and clothing paired with the continuous dancing is interesting - as both don't seem to fit together. I like the stop motion of the dancers on their own, then joined with their partner.

Music Video Analysis: KANYE - Runaway ft. Pusha T

I like the contrast between the genre of the song and the style of dance, as both rarely go hand in hand which sort of jars and replaces the conventions usually associated with both the music and the dance. Alongside this, the contrast of setting and costume is also interesting. Kanye, the 'guests' and the dancers are all dressed very smartly yet the setting looks as though it is a warehouse of some kind.

Music Video Analysis: MARK RONSON - Just ft. Phantom Planet

The song is a cover of Just by Radiohead, and the video closely follows the original. I like that it follows the idea of Radiohead's music video, whilst having subtly differences. It is almost mocking the original, which is humourous and interesting.

I love the lighting and colours of the video, the summery vibes perfectly harmonise with the music. The idea of the couples dancing is simplistic yet effective, and watching this video makes me feel happy.
