Preliminary evaluation - production

As a group, we had booked and arranged to film one afternoon after school. However, our first attempt was unfruitful as we filmed very little and did not work effectively as a group. This caused frustration amongst the group, and communication was not brilliant. When watching the footage we acquired during that first filming session, we were unimpressed at the quality and quantity of the shots and thus rearranged to film again the following week.
When re-filming, we shuffled roles and Ben became the lead singer in replacement of Tom. This worked much better, as Ben felt more comfortable performing which created a more realistic outcome. Kadie, our camera man, set up a camera and tripod which filmed the band members continuously from one angle. Jojo, the grip, filmed with a handheld camera and paced around the room to capture alternative angles.
Rhia and myself, along with the two camera men, positioned the band to suit the shots from the original video.
Although unproductive, I believe our first filming session provided a good practice for the group which enabled us to be prepared for the second set of filming. This, along with a change of roles, made the filming process much easier the second time around.
